“Good carwash owners/operators are always monitoring a thousand details in the process of putting out a clean car for the customer.”

Ver-Tech Labs noticed many of their customers taking out pencil and paper when calculating details of their car wash operations and wanted to provide them with a simple set of tools that could quickly and accurately replace the back-of-the-envelope calculations. The result was carwashtoolbox.com.

CarWashToolbox.com provides users a set of calculators and tools ranging from a simple cost per gallon calculator to a complex tool allowing operators to calculate the cost per wash based on the type of products, their costs per gallon and amount used per car.

These tools provide the car wash operators with valuable insights help them understanding the cost of their chemicals, how chemical usage can be optimized and monitoring the effect of chemicals usage leading to a greater profit margin for them and cleaner cars for their customers.

My role on the site was primary developer with some visual design additions when necessary. The site uses WordPress as a back end for basic customizations but due to the nature of the site, custom form inputs, frontend form validation and a JavaScript backend were used to handle the calculations.
